A hair enrichment treatment, not a straightening one
This is a hair enrichment treatment rather than permanent hair straightening. Signature Day Keratin lays the cuticle down and seals shine into it, helping your hair feel healthier, softer and more manageable while keeping its own natural movement. It is designed to enhance the way your hair behaves, rather than change its natural character. If you are looking for a noticeably straighter finish, we would recommend our Intense Hair Keratin instead. We will help guide you toward the treatment that best matches the result you have in mind.
What an anti frizz hair treatment does in this climate
Frizz is the cuticle lifting to take on moisture from the air, and Bali air has plenty to give. An enriching keratin fills and seals the fibre so there is less for the humidity to get into. That is why the same hair that frizzed within ten minutes of leaving the house behaves for weeks afterwards, and why your blow-dry time drops so noticeably.
Who this one is for
Fine to medium hair with everyday frizz. Hair that takes forever to blow-dry. Hair that looks fine indoors and unravels the moment you step outside. If that is your hair, this is the one we would put you in.
Formaldehyde-free, sulfate-free
Cheap keratin treatments still use formaldehyde to force the cuticle shut. Ours does not. Formaldehyde-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free and cruelty-free, so there are no fumes in the room and nothing aggressive left on your scalp. Every wash runs advanced filtered water, which is the single biggest reason a keratin treatment holds here.
Making it last
Allow 48 hours before your first wash. Use a sulfate-free, hydrating shampoo. Use a heat protectant serum or hair oil when you style, and dry your hair thoroughly for a smoother finish. Keratin fades gradually with washing, swimming and island life, exactly as it is designed to do.

FAQs: Signature Day Keratin: the honest answers
Is this a permanent treatment?
No, and be careful with anyone who says otherwise. This is semi-permanent: it fades gradually over months as you wash, rather than growing out in a hard line. Your own texture comes back progressively, which is what most people actually want.
Will it make my hair flat?
It shouldn't. The Signature treatment is dosed to keep movement in the hair, which is why we recommend it for fine to medium hair. Tell your stylist if your hair goes limp easily and we'll adjust how much we use.
How is this different from the Intense Hair Keratin?
Strength and processing time. Signature is the everyday enrichment treatment for ordinary frizz. Intense Hair Keratin uses a stronger formulation and a longer process to reach thick, coarse, very curly or badly damaged hair, and it gives a straighter result.
How long does it last?
Several months for most guests with sulfate-free aftercare. Swimming, steam rooms and saunas shorten it, so if you have a diving day or a beach club weekend planned, book the treatment for after the trip rather than before it.
Can I have it on colored hair?
Yes. If you're blonde, bleached or fighting brassiness, Mermaid Gloss Keratin is the better choice because it corrects tone while it smooths. Send a daylight photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you which one fits.
